I worked as a Mechanical Engineer Intern in San Francisco from January to April 2021. During my time, I worked on several projects. My most notable project was the "internal hinge project". I independently tackled the problem of how to open this door from enclosure with both components featuring designs such as flanges that caused a lot of spatial restraints. Additionally, a small form factor was a necessity. I scoured resources for off the shelf components, deep dived into research and eventually designed 2- 4 bar linkage mechanism.
Another large project was designing the reliability test fixture cart. I modeled and spec'd out all the mechanical components. While I did not choose the electrical components, I took ownership over how it was designed into the cart. I sourced all the parts, got it modified at machine shops and built it myself! My other projects creating a bolt calculator and running thermal tests.
